Water Purification
Clarity of water is important, that’s why the Cheshire Hot Tub utilises the very latest in Ozone technology. But what does Ozone do? Frequently asked questions
How can I prepare for the delivery of my new hot tub?
Having a hot tub delivered is an exciting moment, and we want to ensure everything goes smoothly for you. To guarantee a safe and hassle-free installation, there are a few key steps to complete before your scheduled delivery date.
Once your hot tub is in stock or due to arrive soon, we’ll contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date. Before confirming, you’ll need to ensure the following requirements are met:
1. Access & Clearance
- Ensure there is a clear and accessible route to your intended hot tub location.
- Obstacles such as fences, gates, or narrow pathways may need to be removed or adjusted.
- Hot tubs are typically delivered on their sides and require at least 1.2 metres of clearance (some models may need more).
- We will usually request a video of your access route before confirming your delivery date.
2. A Solid & Level Base
- Your hot tub must be placed on a hard, flat, and level surface—such as a concrete slab, reinforced decking, or patio.
- The base must be strong enough to support the weight of the hot tub when full, which can be up to 3 tons.
- If the base is unsuitable, we may need to reschedule your delivery until a proper foundation is in place.
3. Electrical Supply
- A suitable electrical supply must be installed before our arrival.
- Our team can connect a pre-existing cable from your isolator switch to the hot tub, but we cannot connect a cable into the isolator switch—this must be done in advance by a qualified electrician.
For full details, please refer to our Pre-Installation Guide, available on the product page under ‘More Information’.

How quickly can you deliver a hot tub?
If your chosen hot tub is in stock, we can typically deliver it within 7-14 days from the date of your order. However, there are a few factors that may affect delivery times:
1. Stock Availability & Specialist Requirements
- If the hot tub is listed as ‘ready to order’, it may have a longer lead time.
- If specialist equipment (e.g. cranes or winches) is required for delivery, this may also extend the timeline.
2. Finance Orders
- If purchasing through finance, there is a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of approval.
- We cannot deliver the hot tub until at least 14 days after your finance application has been approved.
3. Pre-Delivery Checks
- Once you place an order, we’ll contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date.
- Our team will guide you through the pre-delivery requirements, including access, base preparation, and electrical supply.
- We’ll likely request a video of your access route and photos of the base and electrical setup before scheduling delivery.
If you’d like a more accurate lead time based on your location and setup, feel free to get in touch – we’ll be happy to assist!

What are the differences between 13 amp and 32 amp hot tubs?
When choosing a hot tub, you’ll often see them categorised as 13 amp or 32 amp models. The key difference lies in their power supply, performance, and features.
13 Amp Hot Tubs
- Easier installation – we recommend hardwiring them into either a rotary isolator switch or a commando-style socket for better safety and performance
- Lower running costs – Uses less electricity compared to 32 amp models
- Single pump system – Typically has one pump to power both the jets and heating
Limitations: Since they run on lower power, jets and heating cannot operate at full power simultaneously—if the jets are on high, the heater may temporarily reduce output.
32 Amp Hot Tubs (Hardwired, Higher Performance)
- More power & better performance – Requires a dedicated 32 amp supply installed by a qualified electrician
- Stronger massage jets – Can have multiple pumps, allowing for more powerful hydrotherapy
- Heats more efficiently – Can run both the heater and jets at full power simultaneously
Best for those who want a high-performance hot tub with maximum hydrotherapy benefits and faster heating.
Which One Should You Choose?
- Go for a 13 amp hot tub if you want an easier set up with lower upfront installation costs or if you have a limited power supply.
- Choose a 32 amp hot tub if you’re looking for powerful jets, faster heating, and the ability to run everything at once.
Still unsure? Get in touch, and we’ll help you find the perfect hot tub for your needs.
What is the difference between Chlorine and Bromine, and which one should I choose?
Both chlorine and bromine are effective sanitising agents for keeping your hot tub water clean and safe. The choice between them comes down to performance, maintenance, and personal preference.
Chlorine – Fast-Acting & Cost-Effective
- Kills bacteria quickly – Works faster than bromine to neutralise contaminants.
- Lower cost – Generally cheaper than bromine.
- Best for frequent water changes – Ideal for hot tubs that are used often and refilled regularly such as in holiday lets.
💡 Things to consider: Chlorine has a stronger smell, can be harsher on sensitive skin.
Bromine – Longer Lasting & Gentler on Skin
- Less odour – Doesn’t have the strong smell that chlorine does.
- Better for sensitive skin – Less harsh, making it a good option for those prone to irritation.
- More effective over a wider pH range – Unlike chlorine, which is sensitive to fluctuations in pH, bromine remains stable and effective across a broader pH spectrum, making water balance easier to maintain.
💡 Things to consider: Bromine is slower to act than chlorine and is generally more expensive.
Which One Should You Choose?
- Choose chlorine if you want a fast-acting, budget-friendly option and don’t have sensitive skin.
- Choose bromine if you prefer something gentler on skin and lower in odor.
Still unsure? Get in touch, and we’ll help you find the best solution for your hot tub!
What warranty do you offer on the UK Hot Tub range?
All of our UK Hot Tubs come with a manufacturer’s warranty, covering key components for peace of mind.
In addition to this, we also include a free 1-year labour warranty, meaning if any issues arise within the first year, we’ll handle the labour costs for any necessary repairs.
For full warranty details, please refer to the ‘Warranty Information’ document under ‘More Information’ at the bottom of the product page.
What is a cover lifter and what does it do?
A cover lifter is a hot tub accessory designed to make removing and replacing your hot tub cover quick and effortless.
We highly recommend using a cover lifter, especially if you regularly use the hot tub alone, as it removes the need for a second person to help lift the cover.
How does a cover lifter work?
- The cover lifter is securely bolted to the side of your hot tub.
- The hot tub cover folds over the lifting arm.
- You simply push the cover back, and the lifter holds it behind the hot tub.
- If your hot tub is square, the cover lifter can be fitted to any side for flexibility.
💡 Important: Ensure there is at least 45cm of clearance at the side where the cover will fold back to allow for proper operation.
